Preclinical-Only — For Educational Purposes Only
This compound has no established human dosing. The information below documents preclinical (animal) findings and is provided for research and educational reference only. It is not medical advice or a dosing recommendation.

Delta Sleep-Inducing Peptide (DSIP) is an investigational neuropeptide studied for sleep regulation in preclinical research. There is no established human dosing.
Dosing Reference
Reconstitution
Add 2.5 mL bacteriostatic water to the 5 mg vial. Resulting concentration: 2 mg/mL.
| Dose | Syringe Units | mL Volume | Schedule |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 mcg | 5 units | 0.05 mL | SubQ, before bedCommunity sleep protocol |
| 200 mcg | 10 units | 0.1 mL | SubQ, before bedCommunity higher dose |
Math assumes U-100 insulin syringes (1 mL = 100 units). Verify your syringe matches before use. Round half-units to the nearest visible mark.
Reconstitution
Delta sleep-inducing peptide (DSIP) is a naturally occurring neuropeptide first isolated from rabbit brain; it is sold as a compounded research peptide in 5 mg vials. It is not FDA-approved.
For a 5 mg vial reconstituted with 2.5 mL, the concentration is 2 mg/mL; a 100 mcg dose draws to 5 units (0.05 mL) on a U-100 syringe. Gently swirl — do not shake — and store refrigerated. Compounded forms are not FDA-approved.
Cycling Protocol
Community protocols describe DSIP injected subcutaneously before bed nightly for 2–4 weeks, sometimes cycled. No standardized cycle is established; DSIP is not FDA-approved and durations are community extrapolation.
Routes of Administration
Subcutaneous injection (community): Before bed into the abdomen.
No oral route is established (peptide). DSIP is not FDA-approved.
Stacking Protocols
| Stack | Components | Purpose | | --- | --- | --- | | Sleep Stack | DSIP + Epitalon | Combined sleep/circadian peptides (community) | | Sleep Stack | DSIP + magnesium / L-theanine | Combined sleep support (community) |
Stacking combinations are community extrapolation. DSIP is not FDA-approved.
Side Effects & Safety
- No human safety database — DSIP is not FDA-approved and human safety data is limited
- Injection-site reactions — possible
- Morning grogginess — occasionally reported
- Generally described as well-tolerated in limited community reports
DSIP is not FDA-approved. Compounded research-peptide forms are sold for research purposes only.
Research Basis
Delta sleep-inducing peptide (DSIP) is a naturally occurring nonapeptide first isolated from rabbit brain extracellular fluid during induced sleep.
Mechanism: Described as promoting slow-wave (delta) sleep and modulating circadian rhythm, ACTH/cortisol, and stress responses; mechanism not fully elucidated.
Clinical evidence: Limited human studies (mostly CIS-region and early European research) describe effects on sleep onset and quality; not FDA-approved. Robust large-scale trials are lacking.
Not FDA-approved. Compounded research-peptide forms are sold for research purposes only.
